phuket sightseeing

In the afternoon, you'll have a lunch break (own expense), and then your tour continues with a visit to Wat Chalong, the largest and most prominent Buddhist temple on the island. Admire the 3-story main building, and head upstairs to see Buddha statues and enjoy a view from the top level.
Next, visit the Phuket Big Buddha, a marble statue visible from a large part of the island. If you want to leave your mark, you can purchase a small piece of marble to have mounted on one of the pillars. Then drive along a coastal road on the west side of the island, stopping for a photo op before arriving at Laem Promthep in the early evening. Watch the sunset from this southwestern tip of Thailand, and then head to a rum factory in Chalong for a cocktail made with organic rum.
